Spellings

Our spellings will focus on particular spelling rules or patterns each week and will be practised 3 times a week in school.

For your information, the list below shows the Year 5/6 list of the statutory spellings which will be incorporated into these lessons.

This list represent the type and complexity of words that children in Years 5 and 6 should not only be able to spell, but also understand the meaning of and be beginning to apply in their own writing. Further vocabulary and spellings will be included in daily lessons accroding to the topic and text being taught.
