School Closure
WEEK BEGINNING 13.7.2020
We are now beginning our last week of Reception. It has been a strange year and a different start to school life. It has been great to see how the children have adapted to home learning and it has been amazing to receive lovely work during the time away from school. I would like to say a big thank you to all of you for the effort you have put in to help the children access the different activities. I hope you all have a lovely summer and I look forward to seeing you all in September.

I will continue to put some work on here during this difficult time but as we are now open for Reception children I will only put a few different ideas for you rather than a full weekly plan. Any questions please e-mail or contact me via Tapestry.

Please look under the side panels to find your weekly work. Activities are uploaded weekly. Please also check on Tapestry where you will find further challenges and work ideas.
To allow families to work together a new section has now been created called Family Learning. This has weekly projects for you to work on together.
During our school day we do a daily maths and phonics session so your child will be used to doing this. It is also essential to remember that young children learn through play and practical activities so please spend time on board games etc. Please remember to send me any work or activities that you do. It is great to see the work on Tapestry and some of the amazing activities that you are doing. If you want to send anything to me my work e-mail is ljohnstone@firbeck.org.uk. This can be used for you to send work or ask any work related questions I will respond during working hours Monday-Friday..
