June Newsletter

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back after the half term holiday, we hope you had a lovely break and managed to get out and about and enjoy some of the sunshine.

We have an exciting half term coming up with lots of super things planned, please make sure you have all the dates in and also keep up to date with the website and also our twitter account (@firbeckprimary). I post a weekly blog on the website which gives you a run-down of the coming week, this is updated every weekend, and this is where you find it.

As the weather hopefully continues to improve please make sure your child has had sun cream applied before school or is able to apply their own. Also sunhats and water bottles are essential to keep the children safe and happy when the sun is shining.

A few other reminders:

-please make sure your child has their PE kit in school each day

- please also remember to name your child’s clothing, especially jumpers, as we have so many in lost property that would easily be returned if only they had a name in them

-if you change your phone number or any other personal details, please update us, as it is essential we can contact you, if we need to.

I will be leaving at the end of the summer term to spend some more time with my family and then see what the future holds. I have loved working with you all and seeing your children grow and learn. I will take away so many happy memories of Firbeck which is a truly special school and will always keep an eye on any new developments that take place.

I am hoping to arrange something as way of ‘goodbye’ in the final few weeks of the term. We will let you know what we are planning when arrangements have been made.

Best wishes,

Mrs W Riley
