Headlines for 15th July 2019
After 21 years at Firbeck, this will be my last week. Unfortunately we have been unable to organise a goodbye event as we have had such a busy few weeks, what with our 2 weeks at NUSA and then our OFSTED inspection last week. Luckily tomorrow is our annual sports afternoon, where I am sure I will get to see many of you. Also I will be on the front gate every morning and afternoon, please feel free to stop for a chat. I will be spending as much time as I can this week in the classrooms with the children and will be in on Friday to wish our year 6 leavers all the best!
I have had such a fantastic time at Firbeck, since I started as a new teacher in 1998. I have seen many changes but one thing that has always been consistent is that care and support our teachers offer the children. They always go the extra mile and I feel lucky to have been part of that team for such a long time. I will miss them and all of you but I will make sure I keep in touch and pop in from time to time but for now it's time for a break and hopefully a restful summer with my family.
I wish you all well and hope that you enjoy the summer break together, school starts again for children on Monday 2nd September.
Best wishes,
Mrs Riley
