Welcome to Remote Learning
Thank You from the Head of School
Thank you parents and carers for your on-going support for the school during these difficult and uncertain times and for the engagement of your child/children with remote education.
Thank you to the incredible staff at Firbeck Academy; the passion and dedication of you all know no bounds. It is a privilege to work with such incredible people who, no doubt, put the safety, well-being and education of our children first and foremost.
Friday 15th January
As the first full week of partial school closures come to an end, we as a staff are full of admiration for our pupils.
Children on-site have kept the staff energised and smiling due to their resilience, sense of humour and positivity in such trying and alien times for us all. The staff have been blown away by how they have settled and adapted to the 'new normal'.
Children who are off-site have laughed and learned alongside the staff online during live lessons or have been able to download videos of their teachers teaching them. Learning Packs have gone out and are in use and we are in regular contact with our families. If there is anything you need, please contact us - either your class teacher or email: firstname.lastname@example.org and we will call you back.

We have been looking forward to welcoming all children back into school from 8th March
I would like to thank the children, staff and our families for the incredible hard work and resilience they have shown during lockdown and remote learning. It has been a challenging time but everyone has ensured that the focus on good mental health and well-being and quality of education has remained a high standard.
Our recent remote learning inspection from Ofsted (Feb 2021) offers an additional element of quality assurance for us so please look out for the letter - as soon as it is published, we will add the link.
All children back in school
Children are happy and settling into being back at school - it has put huge smiles on all the staff's faces! If there are any children in the coming days/weeks who still find it a little overwhelming, we will make sure they are okay and have all the support and kindness they need. We know that this may take a while for some children.
Please continue to take care and stay safe,
Miss S Cao
